The collaboration of Organic Advocates and Everdale Organic Farm & Environmental Learning Centre will produce one of the most beautiful & educational experiences yet. An interactive trip through the farm will bring you to the Feast of Fields site on rolling pasture-land at the edge of cedar & mixed deciduous woodlots. Here you can sample an array of fresh organic delicacies prepared by top Southern Ontario chefs who rise to the challenge of serving and presenting their dish in a biodegradable, waste-free manner. Sip some of Ontario's craft beers and V.Q.A. wines; taste organic juices, coffees, and teas; listen to live music; stroll through the farmer's market; and visit the tables of vendors & non-profit groups who provide additional opportunities to learn about sustainable living.

All the food is created to be eaten by hand, eliminating paper plates and other disposable items. In the past, chefs have ingeniously served their fare wrapped in lettuce leaves, nestled in vegetable cups, layered on croquettes, mounded on cornbread and even set on cedar planks and pieces of slate. As a guest, you will be given a linen napkin and wine glass to use throughout the afternoon.

This year's site is an organic farm and hands-on learning center for sustainable living. From organic agriculture to renewable energy and alternative building methods, Everdale is an educational leader. They have over 100 acres of certified organic land, growing vegetables, grains, hay and cover crops. They also protect 50 acres of uncultivated lands for wildlife habitat.

2008 Feast of Fields highlights farmers in a new way and will feature a farmers market where you can purchase fresh organic produce to take home with you. Farmers will be throughout the site offering samples of their bounty. Feast of Fields is truly a celebration of the farmer.
